We’re doing a poetry project for my English class, and so far this is all I’ve got memorized. It’s a beautiful poem though. It’s risky choosing such a well-known poet, but I really admire Frost’s work. (it was either Frost or Poe, my two favorite poets!) This poem has some significance, and that was the point of this project (to choose a poem with significance to you), so that is why I chose it. Hopefully my teacher approves this poem for me to do my project on… it’s quite simple… she probably expects something more complex from me, but once I explain why I chose this, then maybe she’ll approve.

Besides, she’s already seen how I can say poetry in front of the class… I did one of the best performances for the Balcony Scene when we were reading Romeo and Juliet (not meaning to brag, but c’mon… I think I was the only one that actually put some FEELING in my performance). Once she knows how I’m planning to perform/say Frost’s poem in front of the class, she’s going to be quite impressed with me!

So my hip hop team and I won two first place trophies, including the most spirited award for our school! This was our FIRST competition, and we only got two weeks of practice!

First place for Senior Hip hop division.
